Body Clock is an experimental, ambient project by Obarzanek which focuses on the ephemeral and decaying nature of sound on old mediums such as tape and vinyl. Alluding to themes of corrosion, decomposition but also ultimately resilience, Obarzanek records self-enveloping loops and drones onto worn out tape through the archaic confines of a 4-track recorder and explores the psychological impact of incidental mechanical sounds made in the process.
Body Clock’s debut self-titled album came out mid 2019 on local label ‘Black Spring’ and has since had its music incorporated in film work by Yann Gonzalez and the video game “64 Ways of Being”.
